Joint and Trigger Point Injections

untie the knot

Sometimes muscles knot up. Sometimes said muscles cause lots of pain by disturbing the nerves around them. These are called trigger points, which can be dealt with in a matter of minutes at the Primary Care Clinic of Jackson! A small needle is inserted into the trigger point. This injection may contain a local anesthetic and/or corticosteroid. Immediately after the injection the pain is alleviated in the area.

Also Joint Injections are a thing

Joint injections are the same concept as trigger point injections (local anesthetic and/or corticosteroid), but they are injected directly into the joint. These injections are commonly needed in the knee, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Joint Injections (and trigger point injections) are very low risk and may give the patient relief for years to come.
